Introduction

What are some feelings you get when you look at the tiger picture?  Do you have an opinion about the picture?  Do you think the tiger is beautiful?  Do you think about facts you have learned about tigers?  Below are definitions and one example of an opinion and a fact:

  • An opinion expresses an attitude toward something or someone – an opinion cannot be proven true or false.

                  - Computers are completely useless.

  • A fact expresses only something that can be proven and tested.

                  - Alaska is the largest state in the United States.
